Ruffle Shirt + A Waste of a Sunday Night

This might have been the first item I ever pinned on Pinterest.  From the first moment I saw it, I thought it was a cute idea for a shirt, especially because Mr. LL’s white undershirts always seem to shrink for his tall frame (let’s not talk about my inability to do laundry correctly) – therefore I have plenty of white t-shirt hand-me-down’s. Well, bring in a boring Sunday night with reruns of “Hart of Dixie” on Netflix and you’ve got me trying to complete a pin on my DIY board.

This is my pitiful version of it.  Epic fail.  I mean, I wouldn’t wear this out in public. First off, when I put the dang thing over my head, I must have “scrunched” it too much because my stitch ripped as I put my arm through.  You couldn’t see but the entire back part of my ruffle was hanging off.  Second, this shirt was huge.  It doesn’t look that big in the picture because I have it tied in the back to make it a little more form fitting.  I guess you could purchase a smaller shirt size but then I definitely wouldn’t have been able to get it over my head.  I probably could have used a sewing machine to make the stitch stronger and to make the time go by quicker, but eh – what can ya do.  Overall, not something I would keep in my closet.  As it stands, it’s in the trash.
